Just Dance Product Launch & Roadshow – Driving Sales

Together with our client Ubisoft, TED Experience helped create the dancing game category back in 2009. We worked on the title for a further six years, creating all of the experience focussed work that propelled the game to greatness. Ubisoft awarded the agency two gold discs throughout the years as recognition of the work and its contribution to the games success.

Central to the brand experience work was the creative concept and build of the “Just Dance Disco Bus” – a modified lorry, complete with large screens, a giant disco ball, sound-sensitive disco flooring and a 2k sound rig that allowed for interactive dancing. The main goal was to reach as many potential consumers as possible and literally demonstrate the game while driving awareness and engagement.

Our brand experience strategy was simple: By showcasing four people playing the game in an elevated entertaining experience, we would transform observers into copycat players [dancers] at the same time – thereby teaching people how to play while they enjoy themselves!. This experiential dynamic demonstrated the game’s accessibility as well as its playability – immediately hooking people’s attention and interest, resulting in widespread brand awareness and instant sales success. The activity achieved multiple prestigious awards.
